Cucina del Toro is the result of the years of experience acquired by the managers of La Brisa restaurant – Antonio Facciolo and Piero Maranghi – and the creativity of its chef Giandomenico Melandri.
The menus recall Italian culinary tradition with particular attention to popular characteristics and tastes: gnocchi, lasagne, pig’s cheek, salted codfish, Piedmont Fassone beef, tripe, cheeses and speciality desserts. Simple and flavourful dishes that bring to mind home cooking of our ancestors. Cucina del Toro often organises special evenings that have a fixed price menu dedicated to the treasures of national cuisine: from cassoeula to great masterpieces of Neapolitan cuisine.
The setting, designed by the architect Diego Marelli, recreates the suggestive atmosphere of old locandas of the “Beautiful Country” with attention to the finest detail, including porcelain lamps and graniglia flooring.
The main room seats 45 people, next to that is a smaller room that is both welcoming and reserved and ideal for private events and parties. A few minutes on foot from Castello Sforzesco.
